Remind yourself that you are well-prepared and are going to do very well. Don't let yourself become anxious, if you feel so, take several slow, deep breaths to relax, don't talk to students who normally are nervous and anxious | before a test, as anxiety is contagious.

3] BE COMFORTABLE BUT ALERT

Use the restroom before you find your seat.

Make sure you have enough room to work. Maintain an upright posture in

4] PREVIEW THE TEST

Read the test paper carefully. Plan to do the easy questions first and the most difficult questions last. Keep time to revise your answers.

5] ANSWER THE QUESTIONS IN A STRATEGIC ORDER

Begin by answering the easy questions you know. Then, those with the highest point value, the last questions you answer should be the most difficult, take the greatest amount of writing, or have the least point value.

6] WHEN TAKING A MULTIPLE QUESTION CHOICE TEST, KNOW WHEN TO GUESS

First eliminate answers you know are wrong. Always guess when there is no negative marking for guessing. Since your first choice is usually correct, don't change your answers unless you are sure of correction.

7] WHEN TAKING ESSAY TESTS, THINK BEFORE YOU WRITE

Create a clear outline of your essay by jotting down a few words to indicate your ideas you want to discuss, then decide the order of your points. When taking an essay test, get right to the point in the first sentence. The first para should provide an overview of the essay. Use the rest of your essay to discuss these points in more detail. Support your points with specific information, examples, or quotations from your readings and notes.

8] RESERVE 10% OF YOUR TIME FOR REVIEW

Review your test, make sure you have answered all your questions. Proof read your writing for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Check your math answers for careless mistakes.

9] ANALYZE YOUR TEST RESULTS

Each test can further prepare you for your next test. Decide which strategy worked best for you. Identify those that didn't work well and replace them. Use your past tests to review when studying for final exams.

10] EAT AND SLEEP WELL BEFORE THE TEST

Don't try to pull an all nighter, get atleast 6 to 8 hours of sleep before the test so that you'll be well rested enough to focus during the test. Eat before the test, having food in your stomach will give you energy and help you to focus. Avoid heavy food which can make you 'groggy'. Try to be well rested and well nourished in preparation for exams.

"Drink plenty of fluids, eat a good healthy breakfast. "The fresher and more energetic you feel, the more it will support your ability to tackle the cognitive challenges."

11] Ask for Divine Intervention. Pray to the almighty to help you perform well in the test.

IF YOU FOLLOW THE ABOVE MENTIONED STEPS, YOU WILL ACHIEVE MORE, BOTH IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL. THIS WILL LEAVE YOU WITH MORE FREE TIME AND LESS STRESS.
